Common Sense by Frank Muci

I am already very excited for the winter term at the LSE, as I will be taking the course on Growth Diagnostics in Development: Theory and Practice, taught by Frank Muci Lander. I have been following Muci’s work for some time now and find it exceptionally insightful. His Substack, Common Sense, is at least ten steps ahead of what I am trying to do on this website - to communicate ideas about international development in clear, accessible language to a broader audience. I sincerely hope Muci returns to writing more regularly, as he did in the past. These two posts are my favourites from his blog:

Is Nigeria the new Venezuela?

Gasoline subsidies, multiple exchange rates, declining oil production… It’s all too familiar.

Georgia's Economic Collapse

Moving on from central planning was painful
